The Cave is crafted in the finest Italian veg-tan leather and French linen thread. It comprises two compartments, each of which can confortably accomodate five cards. The cave-like cutaway on the reverse is designed to assist with access to the cards and gives this design its name.

All elements of the process are done by hand by M Tallowin. After the hide is marked, clicked and cut, bevelled and burnished, the 188 stitch-holes are cut, by hand, one by one. The Cave is hand stitched in french linen thread - 60 saddle stitches, finished with 12 double whip stitches. The Cave is then moulded to shape, conditioned and finally laid in the unique presentation case.
